JT2021: XXVth International Symposium on the Jahn-Teller Effect
06/08/2021 - 06/11/2021
As implied by its name, this is a longstanding biannual meeting that brings together a diverse group of scientists that study the delicate interplay between nuclear and electronic motion in molecules and solids. These meetings are organized under the auspice of the International Steering Committee chaired by I. Bersuker, an eminent scientist, presently at the University of Texas (originally from Moldova), who continues to be a leader in the field. Those that typically attend comprise scientists in chemistry, physics and materials science whose research focus spans a wide range from electronic structure theory to studies in molecular reactivity, spectroscopy, magnetism, and solid-state ferroelectricity.
Registration is open to all those interested, limited to 90 participants including invited speakers.
The breakfasts, coffee breaks, and poster sessions will be held at the Palm.
Participants should be aware that this workshop runs Saturday through Tuesday. Discounted lodging rates end after Tuesday night.
TSRC is about expanding the frontiers of science, exploring new ideas, and building collaborations. The workshop schedule will allow for substantial unstructured time for participants to talk and think. All participants are expected to stay for the entire duration of the workshop. Scientists are encouraged to consider bringing family or friends. Telluride offers a number of options for children's camps (including Telluride Academy, Aha School for the Arts, and Pinhead Institute). There is more information on childcare, camps, and family activities on TSRC's website. Feel free to contact TSRC's staff to help with any planning and/or coordinating care.

Early Bird Lodging Discount Available Until: 01/15/2021
A $100.00 discount is applied to your lodging cost when you register before 01/15/2021.
