Biological and Bioinspired Redox Catalysts

This workshop aims to bring together the global leaders conducting research on understanding structural and mechanistic details of biologically relevant redox reactions. Particular focus will be placed on discussing recent advances in characterizing reaction mechanisms that result in the formation and cleavage of H-H, C-H, C-O, O-O, and N-H bonds. Topics include understanding control of reduction potentials and acidity at redox-active sites, catalytic mechanisms and bias, and designing reversibility in synthetic systems.

TSRC is about expanding the frontiers of science, exploring new ideas, and building collaborations. The workshop schedule will allow for substantial unstructured time for participants to talk and think. All participants are expected to stay for the entire duration of the workshop. Scientists are encouraged to consider bringing family or friends. Telluride offers a number of options for children's camps (including Telluride Academy, Aha School for the Arts, and Pinhead Institute).
