Meeting Description:
Epigenetics is a topic of immense interest to the scientific community. Recent advances particularly in epigenetics-driven transcriptional processes have put this field at the forefront of modern biology and biological chemistry. The epigenetic marks, including posttranslational modifications (PTMs) of histone proteins and covalent modifications of DNA mediate a wealth of fundamental processes, including gene expression and DNA damage repair. Recent studies have begun shedding light on mechanistic aspects of epigenetic signaling, however coupling structural and functional findings remains challenging. This workshop will focus on the molecular mechanisms underlying "writing," "erasing," and "reading" the epigenetic marks. We encourage discussion of novel ideas and presentation of unpublished data. The workshop will bridge mechanistic insights to the functional significance of epigenetic states that dictate specific biological outcomes.
Notes:
The workshop is designed to bring together 25 structural, biochemical and cell biologists in a small group format to provide an opportunity to discuss recent breakthroughs from different perspectives and initiate collaborations to further our understanding of epigenetic mechanisms.
The registration price also includes five breakfasts and a BBQ picnic dinner.
We wish to ensure an intimate workshop setting, with no more than 20 to 25 participants. If you are interested in attending, but have not received an invitation, please contact the workshop organizer before registering.
TSRC is about expanding the frontiers of science, exploring new ideas, and building collaborations. The workshop schedule will allow for substantial unstructured time for participants to talk and think. All participants are expected to stay for the entire duration of the workshop. Scientists are encouraged to consider bringing family or friends. Telluride offers a number of options for children's camps (including Telluride Academy, Aha School for the Arts, and Pinhead Institute). There is more information on childcare, camps, and family activities on TSRC's website. Feel free to contact TSRC's staff to help with any planning and/or coordinating care.
IMPORTANT: Participants should be aware that this workshop runs Tuesday through Saturday. Festival lodging rates will be in effect on the night of Sunday, July 10th, so please arrive on Monday July, 11th. If you are planning to arrive on Sunday you can stay at the Hampton Inn (970-547-4120) next to the airport and come up to Telluride first thing on Monday. You will receive a discount at the Hampton Inn by saying you are a TSRC scientist.
Meeting Details:
Workshop Price: $ 449.00
Early Bird Lodging Discount Available Until: 01/31/2022
A $100.00 discount is applied to your lodging cost when you register before 01/31/2022.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation Policy: Once a credit card has been charged, cancelled registrations will be subject to a cancellation fee. We will process registration fees beginning on
January 15th, 2022. If a payment of registration fees has been processed, a $25 cancellation fee will be retained from a registration refund. Lodging fee payments will be processed
60 days prior to arrival, and a $100 cancellation fee will apply if cancellations occur after a lodging fee payment is completed. TSRC can only guarantee a refund for the remaining lodging fees if requested prior to the cancellation deadline that is specific to each lodging provider. TSRC always recommends that participants purchase travel insurance to protect against unforeseen, last-minute travel plan changes.
