POSTPONED 2021 – Challenges in Large-Scale Biomolecular Simulations
06/13/2020 - 06/17/2020
The increase in computer power in tandem with algorithmic and force-field improvements are opening opportunities for modeling large biomolecular systems as never before. Yet many challenges in modeling and simulations of such complex systems in realistic environments require innovations to make the necessary experimental connections and develop new theories and mechanistic details of the associated processes. Our Telluride workshop aims to bring broad-minded scientists interested in these challenges to discuss state-of-the-art approaches and issues with the goal of advancing structural biophysics and allied fields. By discussing various approaches and ways to integrate knowledge on multiple scales, we hope to build a community to advance this important field.
The registration fee includes breakfast on each workshop day. There is also a catered picnic on Wednesday night.
Participants should be aware that this workshop runs Saturday through Wednesday. Discounted lodging rates end after Tuesday night. If your flight is on Thursday out of Montrose, we recommend having dinner in Telluride on Wednesday night and taking Telluride Express to Montrose after dinner. TSRC scientists are eligible for the corporate rate ($119 + tax) at the Hampton Inn (970-547-4120) next to the airport.
We wish to ensure an intimate workshop setting, with no more than 20 to 25 participants. If you are interested in attending, but have not received an invitation, please contact the workshop organizer before registering. If you have registered for a meeting you were not invited to, you may be subject to a $100 fee.
TSRC is about expanding the frontiers of science, exploring new ideas, and building collaborations. The workshop schedule will allow for substantial unstructured time for participants to talk and think. All participants are expected to stay for the entire duration of the workshop. Scientists are encouraged to consider bringing family or friends. Telluride offers a number of options for children's camps (including Telluride Academy, Ah Haa School for the Arts, and Pinhead Institute). There is more information on childcare, camps, and family activities on TSRC's website at https://www.telluridescience.org/travel/families. Please contact Cindy Fusting at email@example.com for more information.
Workshop Price: $ 390.00
Early Bird Lodging Discount Available Until: 01/31/2020
A $100.00 discount is applied to your lodging cost when you register before 01/31/2020.
All cancelled registrations are subject to a $100 Cancellation Fee. TSRC can only guarantee a refund for the balance of fees and lodging charges paid when a refund is requested prior to the Cancellation Deadline that is specific to each workshop, which in this case is 05/13/2020.
