TSRC can only guarantee refunds on cancellations or changes to reservations prior to the "cancellation deadline" of your workshop. Click on the name of your workshop on the "current meetings" section of this website to see the cancellation date. TSRC can request a refund from the lodging provider after the cancellation deadline, but they usually only grant refunds if they are able to resell the room and will charge a “change fee” that might include a night of lodging. Workshop fees are non-refundable after the cancellation date. Please make arrangements to take out your own traveler's insurance if you think you might need to cancel on short notice.
Refunds are issued to the credit or debit cards that charges were applied to, if possible. If not, all refunds are made by United States checks in U.S. currency.
These are re non-refundable events.
If your workshop starts in June, your cancellation deadline is March 1st; if your workshop starts in July, your cancellation deadline is April 1st; if your workshop starts in August your date is May 1st. For winter workshops, the dates vary.
TSRC does not sell traveler's insurance, but we highly recommend that you buy it. This insurance if particularly crucial if you are sharing lodging with other participants. Lodging refunds are not possible after the cancellation date if you have TSRC roommates.
Don't delay in applying for a visa (if required). As a standard part of the visa process, the U.S. State Department now requires that consular officers interview almost every applicant. Some consulates may have a long wait for an interview and may be very slow in processing. Applicants should contact the consulate to schedule an interview as early as possible. Also, many visa applications are sent to the State Department in Washington, DC, to be reviewed by several agencies. Because of the number of visa applications and the policy of thorough security reviews, the process can be lengthy. We advise international travelers to apply for their visas as early as possible. It can take months and months. Information to assist you in the visa application process is available at www.nasonline.org/visas.
Failure to get a visa on time is not the basis for lodging or registration refunds. Please review the Cancellation Policies and Procedures.
If you are an international traveler and are applying for a Visa, a formal invitation from the president of TSRC may help. To request such a letter, please contact Mark Kozak, TSRC Executive Director.
